Tasmania

Hobart, Tas

IMG_2792

Recently I went on a trip to Tasmania, somewhere I have never travelled to and I was pleasantly surprised! I don’t really travel much in Australia which is something I would like to do more of in 2019. To experience more of the places my home has to offer.

Here is my guide of where to eat, stay and what to do in Hobart.

Things to do

Visit Salamanca markets
They are open every Saturday from 8.30- 3pm
With over 300 stalls there is something for everyone

Mona
The most popular art gallery in Hobart. They are open Wednesday- Mondays.
Tickets are $28 for adults and it is quite easy to get to via the ferry.
The art is so incredible and emotive it’s something you don’t want to miss.
Wearing: For the day I wore a white linen shirt, high waisted jeans, Isabel marant boots, Chanel bag and cashmere scarf to keep warm. A comfortable yet classic outfit for a day of travel.

Faro
Located in Pharos inside the Mona Museum
Open Wednesday- Monday. Serving interesting combinations of your classic meals.
My favourite the black Margarita

Jackman & McRoss bakery- Battery point
As soon as you walk in you are met with display cabinets filled with home made cakes and pastries.
We had breakfast here and it was something to rival the places in Melbourne.

Bars

Society Bar
One of the tastiest drinks I had was the Caramello Koala cocktail. A must try!
Wearing my Camilla dress with overlay and a leather belt to bring in my waist. Ankle boots and leather jacket were worn as it was still fresh and chilly in Tasmania.

Stay

IMG_2781

We stayed at the Henry Jones art hotel in Hobart which was right on the pier.
This was a perfect location to all restaurants and bars, not to mention having a gorgeous view.
The hotel is also filled with art!

Other places we visited were:
The Glass house
Brooke st Lader
Puddleduck winery
Frogmore creek winery

Hope you have enjoyed reading this little guide and experience of my travels. If you would like to see more of these type of blogs comment below.

Mon cherie

This is a little styling project Danielle and I collaborated on together.
She is wearing some key pieces from my Marion Bleu brand. Shop the looks via the shop tab on the menu.

Look One: Danielle is wearing the Paros top which is in a white silk like fabric. It is halter and open at the back. Sexy and sophisticated for dressing up for a night of drinking cocktails with friends. We have styled this look with red pants and Gucci runners, to make the look more edgy and not as predictable. To finish off the look Danielle is wearing a vintage Chanel necklace.

Euro Vibes always. X

Look Two: Danielle is wearing the Cavo dress in a white lace fabric. The style is a wrap dress and is flattering to the female form. We have gone for a Parisian look with the navy wool felt hat.
