Mon cherie

This is a little styling project Danielle and I collaborated on together.
She is wearing some key pieces from my Marion Bleu brand. Shop the looks via the shop tab on the menu.

Look One: Danielle is wearing the Paros top which is in a white silk like fabric. It is halter and open at the back. Sexy and sophisticated for dressing up for a night of drinking cocktails with friends. We have styled this look with red pants and Gucci runners, to make the look more edgy and not as predictable. To finish off the look Danielle is wearing a vintage Chanel necklace.

Look Two: Danielle is wearing the Cavo dress in a white lace fabric. The style is a wrap dress and is flattering to the female form. We have gone for a Parisian look with the navy wool felt hat.

The 5 piece French wardrobe

The Basics list:

Decluttering is so important for your mind and soul. You immediately feel better after you get rid of things that you no longer need or no longer serve a purpose in your life.

The French have an effortless way of getting dressed and always having the best wardrobes. They follow this 5 piece basic lists to ensure they have the core pieces to create great outfits. Having a good foundation of staple pieces ensure you are buying the right clothes and accessories. You then add extra pieces you just love! Try to stick to only a few pieces a season as not to clutter up your wardrobe.

This system also has a sustainable aspect as you spend more money on only quality staples. You don’t have to keep replacing cheaper made ‘fashion’ pieces that you get over in a season and that end up in landfill.

A suggestion is also if you give away or sell something you have had for so long then you can replace it with something new.

My favourite jewellery brands

My favourite Jewellery pieces at the moment.

I am always on the hunt for different and unique jewellery designers. When travelling I will always buy something from the country I am visiting as it becomes a great memory of that holiday.

However when I’m not travelling to get my jewellery fix I try to find some unique designers online. Here are 3 brands that I am currently obsessed with! I have bought jewellery from Lithe and Edenbourough Evans and am so happy with my purchases. They are both so well made and affordable.

Next on my wish list are Them bones jewellery! They all look so cool, I just can’t decide what to get!

Below are some of my favourite brands at the moment:

Affordable jewellery for IT girls. Some pieces come in 18K gold, and I’ve matched the gold chains with gold pendants I have. They are cool, on trend pieces that everyone needs in their wardrobe.
Evil eye is from Santorini.

Edenborough Evans

Melbourne based jewellery company created designs in their signature organic form aesthetic. There is also bespoke hand stamped personalised collection which are great ideas for gifts. I love the hammered effect on the jewellery. The earrings are so light weight!

Them Bones Jewellery

Made in Spain contemporary  jewellery brand by sisters Lucia and Helena is fun and experimental yet commercial. This is the next piece on my wish list! X

Top: A marino wool sweater by Uniqlo my fav place for basics
Skirt: Camilla short round neck kaftan worn as a skirt
Boots: Black knee high boots by Siren

How many ways to wear a scarf?

One of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe is this Camilla scarf.
I love the fact that is square piece of silk fabric is so versatile and can be worn in so many ways!
This piece is also great for travelling as it is so small and fits perfectly in your luggage, yet you can get so many style options out of it.

I’ve worn it with jeans as a halter top dancing the night away with friends. I’ve worn it as a strapless crop with matching skirt to the Portsea polo.

A Parisian style tip: Spend money on a luxury items like this Camilla scarf as it is so versatile and your friends will be amazed at all the looks you can create. Parisians love versatile pieces that they know they can dress up and down for any occasion.
