New home, new chapter
Recently I have moved into my new home and have had so much fun decorating it. I have gone for a french provincial style aesthetic. I have collected quite a few pieces so it was nice to see everything come together.
The couch is from Ikea and it is a fold out sofa bed as well. The pillow is from Camilla and the throw is something I’ve had for a few years now.
Decorating doesn’t have to be expensive, it’s all about mixing different pieces together. It gives character to your home and makes it feel more personal. The French are amazing at bring together lower priced items and high end designer pieces and making it look all so effortless.
Vase is from an antique store in Echuca, Coasters are from Paris, Coffee table book is Chanel and the mug is from Provincial home living.
Vase is from House, sugar bowl is from Provincial home living, Coffee container is actually an old container which I bought in London. And of course there are some cook books.
The biggest challenge has been to be organised and think about the things that are necessary in my home. I have stuck to a minimalist approach in the sense of keeping items only of value to me.
For the bedroom I’ve kept with the same coloured tones. The pictures are from Paris which I had framed here in Melbourne. The jewellery display for the rings and necklaces is from Muji and the clear one is from Kmart.
The pillow is from Camilla and the bed spread is from Kmart. The other side is reversible with white and pink lines. The bed side tables were ones I had at home and my dad painted it white for me. We added gold door knobs from Provincial home living.
The gold art work is the most special thing in my home, I made it when I studied in Paris at Ecole Lesage.
The soap dispenser is from Muji apart of the porcelain collection, the soap holder is from Provincial home living. Beauty products include Chanel lipstick, Marion Badescu facial spray, Fragonard perfume and Aesop hand cream.
Hope you love the photographs and it gives you some inspiration for your own home.
There will be much more posts about home and style to come.
